Kirtland Congregation Announcements – 5/6/2018

May 16:  Come and join us for Whatever Wednesday @ 6:30pm. We will be working in the Kirtland Community Garden helping with cleaning and getting the garden ready for another year of growing produce for the local food pantry!

May 18-20:  Temple Grove Work Weekend – Join us as we make our campgrounds beautiful and ready for another great season of camping.

May 21:  Book Club @ Ericson’s home – 7pm.  The book this month is Small Great Things, by Jodi Picoult. Ruth Jefferson, a nurse with more than twenty years’ experience, begins a routine checkup on a newborn, only to be told a few minutes later that she’s been reassigned to another patient whose parents are white supremacists. They don’t want Ruth, who is African American, to touch their child. What begins is journey with incredible empathy, intelligence, and candor, that Jodi Picoult tackles race, privilege, prejudice, justice, and compassion — and doesn’t offer easy answers.

June 2:  Revitalizing Congregations – Where Spirit Meets Mission  A Disciple Development Event – 10am – 5pm @ Kirtland Visitor Center. An opportunity for individuals to come prepared to learn and engage in activities that will help us explore where Spirit meets mission. Cost is free, but we ask that you RSVP with Sandy Davis – Call 440-256-1441 or email eglmcsandy@roadrunner.com

June 15-18:  Kirtland Strawberry Festival – Get ready to park cars as we raise money for the campership fund. More details to come!
